What does ADOSHEM offer?
ADOHSEM (Advanced Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management) is a safety program initiated by the Government of India that deals with the security concerns prevailing in the industrial sector. The training content and curriculum are exclusively designed to ensure that it can be followed and understood by people from across countries and by staff at different levels of their career. ADOSHEM recognizes that every individual is warranted to work in a safe and secure environment; and at the same time, it is the moral responsibility of every individual that none of their actions create disruption and discrepancies for rest of the workforce.
What are the objectives of ADOSHEM?
ADOHSEM aims to enhance the skills, aptitude, and technical knowledge of the candidates with a course content that is tailored-made to suit industry-specific requirements. Staff of an organization is educated on industrial health, work hygiene, and accidental prevention techniques. Creating awareness when it comes to safety audits and health and safety management is critical, which is the main focus of ADOSHEM. To enable a safe occupational environment, knowledge on risk assessment and management procedures is necessary and ADOHSEM ensures that the candidates are proficient in all risk assessment and safety management modules.
How will I be assessed?
You need to clear five theory papers and a practical assessment:
Paper 1: INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY – I
Paper 2: INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY – II
Paper 3: INTERNATIONAL WORKPLACE SAFETY – I
Paper 4: INTERNATIONAL WORKPLACE SAFETY – II
Paper 5: ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
You also need to submit a project on Industrial Safety before the theory examination along with a Project Report to the Department.
What are the durations of the exams?
Paper I & Paper 2 : 2 hours written exam – 10 questions (no choice) – 100 marks
Paper 3 & Paper 4 : 2 hours written exam – 10 questions (no choice) – 100 marks
Paper 5 : 1 hour written exam – 8 questions (no choice) – 100 marks
Paper 6 : Practical assessment – 100 marks
Are there any Seminars for ADOSHEM?
Twelve-day seminar session (not mandatory) at GWGEducationCenter, Chennai, India.
Experts available on all working days to clarify any doubts in the subject through mails and telecommunication.
Will the course material be provided?
You can avail the material of International Standard published by Green World Group. This publication is also promoted by the Government of India.
What are the certifications I will get after completing the tests and when do I get them?
Successful candidates will get the certificate within 30 days (from the result announcement date). Certificate & Mark List will be issued from Central Board of Examination & National Development AGENCY, promoted by the Government of India. Separate certificates will be issued for distinction and first class.
What is the Fee Structure for ADOSHEM?
The fee for ADOSHEM course includes course materials, examination fee, administration fee.
