1. Can I take NEBOSH Examination languages other than English?
NEBOSH qualification throughout the world can be taken through many languages like
- English
- Arabic
- Russian
- Turkish
- Portuguese
- Spanish (European)
- French
The candidates may write the exam in any one of the following language above, which is much helpful for the candidates from non-English speaking countries. Green World Group provide courses only in English, which you can take up this exam from any part of the world and the exam sittings will be arranged by the course provider in consulting with British Council.
2. How many days it will take to get the NEBOSH IGC result after exam?
Once you finish the NEBOSH IGC exam, you will be receiving the result of your exam after 50 UK working days from the date of completion of exam. If you have failed in any one of the unit, you will get know at the time of result notification and you will have to repeat the unit again. If you have got pass in all units, you will get your certificate after 20 days from the date of result declared.
3. How many days it will take to get the IGC Certificate after result?
NEBOSH IGC Certificate will be provided after 45 UK working days of result announcement. The certificate will be provided only if you get pass in all three units individually.
4. Can I check the NEBOSH IGC result in online?
Once the NEBOSH IGC result is published, NEBOSH will send the result to your course provider and to your e-mail id, if you had provided at the time of registration; so keep the e-mail id active in order to know the results. You will NOT be able to check the result via online. And NEBOSH doesn’t send the result to the mobile number.
5. Can I get NEBOSH training through Online mode / E-Learning?
YES, there are possibilities of studying NEBOSH IGC via online mode, which is much suitable for work going HSE professional and non-HSE professionals, it saves their travel time as well as they can continue their work without taking leave. Online/Virtual live mode of training can be studied whenever, wherever they get free. For example: they can learn from their home, office, during travel etc. The beginners and job seekers can also do this course via online.
6. Can I write NEBOSH exam in online?
Yes, NEBOSH has introduced Open Book Examination (NEBOSH OBE) which can be taken from being in any comfortable place with the use of computer and good internet connection, after the completion of Open Book Examination candidates should undergo closing interview which will be informed to candidate by concern course provider.
7. What is the time duration of NEBOSH IGC OBE?
NEBOSH Open Book Exam duration is set as 24 hours, whereas the candidate can be able to complete the exam within 5 hours of time. Candidate can make use of this 24 hours to understand the question, refer materials and give their best answer. Remember that the exam timing is set in accordance with the British Standard Timing (BST).The exam commences at 9 am BST , the candidate should be careful with their country’s time and send the answers within 24 hours from 9 am BST.
8. Is NEBOSH IGC exam objective type or descriptive type?
NEBOSH IGC OBE consist of Theory paper followed by closing interview (IGC 1) and Practical assessment (GC 2) should be submitted based on a real time scenario. Both the GC 1 and GC 2 are for 100 marks And the minimum pass marks for each unit is 45.
9. What is NEBOSH open book examination?
NEBOSH Open Book Examination tests the same knowledge and assessment criteria as a paper based examinations. Unlike a closed book assessment, learners can access textbooks and other digital resources. Open Book Examination test the learner’s ability to extract and apply their relevant knowledge.
10. Can anyone take the NEBOSH International General Certificate?
Of course, Yes. One need not to have any prior knowledge in health and safety or any other special qualification to take up NEBOSH qualification other than good verbal and communication level in English.
11. How long will it take to complete a NEBOSH Qualification?
NEBOSH conducts its examination throughout the year in fixed dates, in which one can get registered themselves for NEBOSH course with an accredited Health and safety course provider like Green World Group once the course period is completed, the course provider will direct his/her to the examination, as for now the NEBOSH has been conducting its assessment as Open Book Examination for NEBOSH IGC only, where one can take up their examination from being in any comfortable place with good internet connection and computer.
12. Why take the NEBOSH International General Certificate?
NEBOSH offers range of different level qualifications viz. NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH iDip, NEBOSH PSM, NEBOSH HSW etc. in which The NEBOSH International General Certificate one among the most demanded qualification which provides sound knowledge in occupational health and safety management covering issues related to most type of industries, Hence NEBOSH IGC qualification is suitable for all sort of job roles in HSE across the world in many sectors like oil industry / mining /construction /safety/rig etc.
13. Does a NEBOSH General Certificate expire?
NO, once if the candidate get passed in NEBOSH qualification, it’s valid for life time. But it is strongly recommended to revise and update knowledge on health and safety rules and regulations by NEBOSH and other health and safety standards.
14. Can I use my textbooks and any other materials during Open Book examination?
One can make use of text book/internet / any resources to answer a question, but has to express the skills and knowledge gained to answer the questions effectively. Never copy directly from internet /reference books, which is plagiarism and may lead to fail in examination.
15. What is the NEBOSH General Certificate equivalent to and where is it recognized?
NEBOSH IGC is equal to SCQF Level 6 qualification. After successfully completing the course, one will get the eligibility to gain Technical Membership (Tech IOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate Membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
16. Does the open book assessment devalue my qualification?
No, not at all/. This is for assessing the same learning outcomes which will nor not devalue your qualification. NEBOSH continues to maintain its academic standards as well as quality of their qualifications and allow robust decisions on learner outcomes to be achieved.
17. What happens if I do not pass my open book examination?
In case of failing in NEBOSH OBE, one can contact their course provider to re-sit for NEBOSH OBE in upcoming exam dates.
